A Top Chicago Restaurant

A 3 location restaurant in Chicago with high turnover, typical in the industry, was struggling. They did not have an HR department, only an administrator who was untrained in HR and compliance. Trying to onboard a constant influx of new employees was a challenge.  We provided the business with a no cost platform where employees could self-enroll in employee benefits and onboard online, all integrated into their payroll. We loaded plan documents and employee handbooks and created a one-stop shop for their benefits and benefits administration. The only benefits previously offered were a high cost health insurance plan to the management.  We brought in a level-funded plan with direct primary care to keep claims low,  cutting their costs in the first year by nearly 20%.  Also, only offering benefits to management made it difficult to get and keep the career waiters they were searching for.  We put in voluntary benefits at no cost to the employer that the employees couldn’t get on their own and did so more affordably than the benefits they had previous access to including a DPC, mental health concierge, dental, vision, disability, life, LTC and more.  The restaurant now has a platform previously out of reach for smaller businesses and an array of benefits to help attract and retain employees at no direct cost.
